Chapter Thirteen

"Say it again," he demanded, his breath hot against her core.

"Fuck me," she demanded, the words no longer terrifying. On the contrary, now they seemed entirely necessary.

"Soon," he promised. "When you're ready."

"Are you insane? Believe me, I'm ready." She was begging, but she didn't care. She craved him, needed him. Felt that she might go mad if she didn't feel him deep inside her.

"No," he said simply as he used his fingertip to pull her panties aside. "You're not," he added, sliding two fingers deep inside her.

She gasped, then bit down on her lower lip so hard she drew blood.

His tongue flicked over her clit, sucking and teasing as the fingers of one hand thrust inside her. With his other hand, he reached up and found her breast, still half-in and half-out of her bra. And as he teased her clit with his tongue, he squeezed her nipple with his fingers, the ministrations sending a current of sexual heat from her breast to her clit, so sharp and vibrant that she almost couldn't stand it.

She squirmed, trying to calm the raging sensations. Or maybe not to calm them. Maybe she was trying to take them higher. Further. She didn't know. All she knew was pleasure. All she knew was need.

And as he sucked harder, teasing her mercilessly, she ground against his mouth, her hips gyrating as he teased and sucked. His beard scraped her sensitive skin, adding to the glorious sensations and making electricity rise to the surface of her skin, pooling and buzzing, and gathering in strength until everything seemed to coalesce in one perfect, sweet circle.

One tiny nub of pure magic that hovered, glowing on the edges of her consciousness before finally, brutally, bursting apart in a firestorm of sensation so intense it turned her inside out and thrust her all the way to the stars.

She seemed to take forever for the bits of her to merge back together, but when she finally returned to herself, she found him looking at her with a very self-satisfied grin.

"Now," he said. "Now, I know you're ready."
